The inherent issues associated to the electrified application of hardware devices at the door,
that need to function as a unified system, are most often a result of not having the infrastructure
in place to support the integration.
- The door and frame are not properly prepared to enable connections to the electrified devices.
- Electrical conduit (EMT) setup is not positioned to the specified electrified hardware devices.
- A box enclosure (System Integration Point) is not provided to facilitate connections to activate the hardware
devices as required for power and system integration.
We cannot resolve faults 1 and 2 here but we can provide you with a link that may
offer a solution to help organize the portal electrical fit-up infrastructure.
But we do have a simple product solution to resolve the SIP requirement.
This is not your typical door setup but as one can observe there is a
significant amount of conduit (EMT) being deployed to service the devices
associated to resolve the ordered operational functionality. Door automation
adds another level of processor controlled function and additional latching device.
Three systems are now employed to a single portal. Cost effective integration
considerations to service the site installation can reduce labor cost for the
actual hookup work plus provide a basis of continuity for as-built documentation.
